About Us

At Elevated Sensors, we’re raising the standard for smart home devices. Our name reflects not only our location but also what we stand for. We design our products in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains at more than 6,000 ft. It also reflects our mission: to elevate reliability, openness, and ownership in a market full of lock-in and letdowns.

Local First,
Open Always

The internet is great, but you shouldn’t need it to control your devices. We design everything to run locally. That means faster response times, more privacy, and no outages when your internet connection drops. When we do reach out to the internet, for things like time syncing, it’s through open protocols that don’t tie you to us or anyone else.

Smart should mean reliable, not cloud-dependent.

You Don’t Need Us

We build devices that work without cloud services, without accounts, and without our permission. No subscriptions. No proprietary cloud servers. No vendor lock-in.

If we disappear tomorrow, your stuff still works. That’s how it should be.

You Own It

You own your hardware. You should be able to fix it, flash it, or modify it. But even if you don’t, everything just works. Our products are open where it counts. We share schematics and our firmware is open source.

You don’t need our permission to do what you want.

Built on Open Source,
Giving Back to It

We use open source tools like ESPHome, LibrePCB, and FreeCAD, and we give back to those projects. Not just gratitude. Money. Every month. When you support us, you support the open source ecosystem that makes DIY innovation possible.

We stand on open source, and we fund it.

We’re building the home tech we wish existed.
Reliable. Local. Open. Yours.
